A great new find, resembles the exotic Berberis with redish purple leave and prickly thorns! Occurs naturally in coastal forest margins and wooded hill slopes. Ideal for contrast colour in mixed borders or trimmed as a security hedge and to attract birds – they can’t resisit the reddish fruits! The clusters of tiny creamy flowers are pretty too. Although drought tolerant – it will benefit from extra watering and feeding, especially during establishment.
